About

Posted by Lauren  Published in Lauren in Libraryland

My name is Lauren Dodd Hall, and I am a librarian at Muir S. Fairchild Research Information Center at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. I graduated in May 2011 with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama.

My professional interests include (but are definitely not limited to) reference services, social media usage and marketing, emerging technologies, information literacy, health literacy, transliteracy, and providing access to information for people of all abilities.

Until my graduation from library school, I was an editor and contributing writer for the Hack Library School blog, an excellent resource for LIS students. Whether you’re a student or a professional, drop by and become a part of the conversation!

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • laurendodd: @amyewest And it goes without saying that so do you! :)
  • laurendodd: @amyewest Oh cool! Hope you enjoy your stay. Would've invited you to lunch/dinner if I didn't have so much going on before my trip tomorrow!
  • laurendodd: 30 more minutes at work. Farewell dinner for a friend tonight, 8K race tomorrow, & then the beach w/husband's family! Life is awesome.
  • laurendodd: @MagpieLibrarian Both? It was a "sponsored post" in my timeline. So they paid to say that. Stop trying to make fetch happen, @JELLO.
